Dying Light 2 Stay Human review — Like Skyrim… with zombies!
Zombie games over the years used to be a dime a dozen. That being mainly because everyone jumped on the bandwagon, and during that phase everyone made one. Over the years they’ve stuck around, but definitely slowed after early successes saw too many cash grabs. The original Dying Light

Patch 1.29

Patch 1.29 launches on August 3 and introduces several gameplay and quality-of-life improvements.

The early progression has been significantly accelerated. Players unlock skills and level up almost twice as fast during the first ten hours of gameplay. Core abilities such as Dropkick, Heavy Attack and Slide become available much earlier, allowing players to experience the full parkour and combat system sooner.

The update also refreshes the game's mood by adjusting UV lighting to better match the visual style of Dying Light: The Beast. UV lamps now emit a bright blue light instead of the previous pink-purple color during gameplay and in cinematics.

The full list of changes will be available on August 3.

PlayStation Plus Essential

Starting August 4, Dying Light 2: Stay Human returns to PlayStation Plus and will be available to all subscribers as part of the Essential lineup. The offer includes the base game together with all free post-launch content, including Bloody Ties.

Following Dying Light’s arrival in the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog earlier this month, players can now continue their journey through the franchise with Dying Light 2: Stay Human. This marks the second time the game has been featured on PlayStation Plus, giving both new players and returning fans another opportunity to experience the City of Villedor after years of free updates and improvements.

The Breach: Open Worlds

The Breach continues its monthly content rollout with Chapter 3: Open Worlds, arriving on August 6. The latest addition follows Chapters Survival Archives and Undead West, and introduces a new selection of community-created maps inspired by open-world exploration.

The Breach is a content initiative for Dying Light 2: Stay Human that brings new experiences, new ways to play, and themed worlds to discover.

The roadmap highlights what players can expect in the coming month.
