Boy, I really love the concept guys working on Dungeon Defenders! Just look at this guy. A hulking shark man charging out of the water to grab you with its huge clawed hands? No, that’s not threatening enough: make sure he understands the value of serrated tools and good knots as well.
The Sharken is just one of the new challenges found in the third chapter of the “Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards” DLC saga, but we’ve got the full feature list, launch trailer, and a bundle of screenshot all right here!
A mysterious blue bubble surrounds the city of Aquanos to give the warriors air to breathe, but in the Riddle of the Deep challenge mission, water starts to flood the protective casing, and our heroes must solve an aquamarine puzzle to keep from drowning. With these two new missions comes a haunting new PvP battleground, Shipwreck Graveyard, as well as a slew of new water-themed weapons, the Kraken boss, and a new pet.
There are ten new weapons in all, plus a new mermaid costume for Countess characters, and of course the latest campaign mission chronicling the heroes’ hunt for the titular Eternia Shards.
The PC version of Dungeon Defenders: Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards Part 3 is available now via Steam, with options for a stand-alone purchase or as a “Season Pass”-style bundle for people who want the entire “Eternia Shards” arc. A PSN version will be following on May 15th, and an XBLA version is also in the works.
