Driveclub lands official release date, October 7th

The game originally expected to launch alongside the Playstation 4 has finally secured a launch date, Driveclub will be available on October 7th.

After being planned to release in 2014, the game was delayed by Evolution Studios to a previously unknown date. Despite this setback, Evolution is still “committed to delivering on our ambitious promise of creating a truly innovative, socially connected racing game.”

“The problem with being ambitious is you have to be prepared to accept there will be challenges along the way. What DRIVECLUB offers has not been previously achieved in this category, and, because of this, the team needed more time to give you the game you’re waiting for.”

Driveclub has some lofty originally expectations, fingers crossed that this delay did more good than bad in the grand scheme of things. We will be finding out soon. Above is a new release date announcement trailer.
