My first experience with Donkey Kong Country was a glorious moment – I don’t remember how or why but I ended up getting both Donkey Kong Country and Killer Instinct for the SNES on the same day. It must have been my birthday. I’ll always fondly remember that day, and for that reason this big gorilla holds a special place in my heart. It was a pleasant surprise when Nintendo announced Tropical Freeze for the Wii U, although admittedly I was hoping for a departure from the traditional side-scrolling gameplay.
Tropical Freeze will allow two people to play cooperatively and I’m hoping to give that mode a spin when I play it during the show.
