Fantasy Flight is happy to announce that the new Adventure Mode for The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth is now available. This new mode allows players to explore Middle-earth how they want.

Whether you’re embarking on your first adventures in the Bones of Arnor campaign or are setting out for the Blue Mountains in Hunt for the Ember Crown, Adventure Mode gives you the chance to experience everything Middle-earth has to offer and explore every corner of this iconic land throughout your campaign.

Choosing this mode from the difficulty selection screen in the Journeys in Middle-earth companion app sets the tone for your adventures, offering an experience not available when playing in Normal or Hard Difficulty. In Adventure Mode, threat is solely generated from heroes and threat tokens. Not only do unexplored tiles not add threat during the Shadow Phase, each hero gains an inspiration at the beginning of every Shadow Phase while playing in Adventure mode, giving them the resources they need to overcome more challenges.

Overall, the easier difficulty setting associated with Adventure Mode allows players to explore every corner of Middle-earth and take on new quests throughout their campaigns, making sure you can see every corner of each adventure, no matter if you’re taming a wild horse or making a last stand against the forces of darkness.
