Eidos-Montreal has announced that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be delayed until August 23, 2016 in order to exceed the “extremely high” expectations for the game.
Speaking in a post on the game’s website, Eidos-Montreal’s head of studio David Anfossi explained that playing through the game has made the developer feel that more time needs to be spent refining the title in order to “meet [their] high standards.”
“We’re confident and proud of the game so far,” Anfossi wrote. “This game is a huge part of our lives, and we don’t want to compromise on its quality.”
Make sure to check out our preview of Mankind Divided, where we said that the game “evolves on its predecessor in every way.”
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
