Deep Silver Unveils Dead Island Spin-off Escape Dead Island

Deep Silver has revealed a new Dead Island spin-off called Escape Dead Island.

As opposed to the series’ usual first person shooter gameplay, Escape Dead Island is a third person action game with stealth elements that bridges the gap between Dead Island and the recently announced Dead Island 2.

The game casts players as Cliff Calo, who is fighting his way through the undead while also discovering the origins of the outbreak and clues as to what’s going to happen in Dead Island 2.

Developed by Swedish studio Fatshark, Escape Dead Island will be released sometime in 2014 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. You can check out the announcement trailer for the game above.
