Earlier today, fans got a brief glimpse at the upcoming augmented reality mobile game, Harry Potter; Wizards Unite. The trailer features a girl capturing a snitch in the Muggle world and putting up a poster warning wizards about their exposure if these beasts aren’t captured.
Not much else is known about the game other than it’ll focus on casting spells, encountering beasts around the area, and unraveling a global mystery. It appears that you will be able to capture these beasts, but it is unclear if they will be just documented or used again in some form. It also appears that the game will focus more on cooperation rather than competition, like raid battles in Niantic’s other game based on a hit-series, Pokemon Go.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be released in 2019. For more information or to “enlist” to receive constant updates on this project, visit the official website.
