Dawn of Defiance announces first major update: Sisters of the Deep

Dawn of Defiance has gotten off to a great start in early access, and it’s only getting better. Now that players have had time to engage, new content is ahead. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – December 4, 2024 – Independent video game studio Traega Entertainment was thrilled to be featured at the OTK Winter Expo to tease the first major content update for Dawn of Defiance, the open-world survival-crafting game inspired by ancient Greek mythology, which launched into early access Aug. 15, 2024, on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The teaser for the Early Access update titled “Sisters of the Deep,” which will bring new mythic enemies, legendary gear, and an overhaul to four shrine objectives, coincides with the reveal of Dawn of Defiance’s living Roadmap! Players can now get excited for 30 additional features and five major updates centered around each biome before the game’s 1.0 Release!

In Dawn of Defiance, you are the Defier, subjected to a mythic plot across ruined isles. Ascend from weak soldier to god-like anti-hero as you survive the Crossroads, build impressive Greek structures, and prove yourself a champion of defiance. Gather resources, craft and upgrade your gear, and face down the trials of Gods with up to 3 friends. Key features:

• Survive the isles: As discontent brews in the Underworld, you have been brought to a lost shore to be tested. To discover the elusive purpose, you must first start from nothing and arm yourself against the dangers of the isles.
• Explore the Ruins: Traverse coastal cliffs, dark woods, and blistering sands with heightened movement abilities, unlocking treasure and power amidst mythic landmarks.
• Empower Yourself: Your victories across the isles will advance your strength through acquired recipes and upgrades. Build and adorn impressive Greek structures that rival the halls of Olympus, and protect yourself with customizable, crafted gear.
• Defy the Gods: Cross the threshold into the Forgotten Crossroads and complete the trials to sever the Gods’ lingering ties of power and steal their knowledge.
