July 31, 2025 — Solar Gardens, the light-hearted, tile-drafting board game set in a breathtakingly utopian future, is now available from Darrington Press. Blending intuitive gameplay with radiant solar-punk aesthetics, Solar Gardens invites players to imagine a world where innovation and nature grow side by side.

In Solar Gardens, players compete to transform city rooftops into lush green spaces, placing tiles to create a thriving ecosystem powered by solar panels, wind turbines, rainwater collectors, animal habitats, and cultural hubs. With every turn, players craft a unique rooftop oasis where creativity, nature, and technology unite.
Created by Eric Slauson (MonsDRAWsity) and Alex Cutler, featuring stunning solar-punk-inspired artwork by Daniel Clarke, Solar Gardens offers a fast and thoughtful 30–45-minute playtime perfect for family game nights, casual play, and hobby gamers alike. Strategic, yet welcoming, the game evolves with every playthrough through randomized blueprint goals and modular boards.
Solar Gardens is made of biodegradable, plastic-free materials and uses paper stickers to hold the game box together in transit. As part of the National Forest Foundation’s Sapling Program, each copy sold helps fund reforestation efforts in U.S. national parks.
Solar Gardens is now available for $44.99 MSRP at Darrington Press Guild stores, Critical Role shops (US, CA, AU, EU, UK), with wider availability on Amazon and select retailers soon to follow.
Whether you're a long-time Darrington Press fan or new to the tabletop and board gaming world, Solar Gardens offers an engaging and optimistic experience that celebrates family fun, creative strategy, and the beauty of a greener future.
