The Wii U may not see a Zelda game at launch (as far as we know), but that’s okay because the sequel to the game that did Zelda better than Zelda will be available on day one.
In an interview with Digital Spy, the lead designer of Darksiders II confirmed that the game will be a Wii U launch title. Not only that, but it will be an “enhanced” version.
“It’s basically the core game, but then with added abilities to do certain things that you can’t do on the other consoles.” – Hayden Dalton, Lead Designer on Darksiders II .
The interview reveals the possibility of being able to change equipment on the fly, presumably using the Wii U’s tablet function, as opposed to pausing the game and going into an equipment screen.
Darksiders II comes to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on June 26th, and based on the interview it will be available for the Wii U’s launch this Holiday season.

Sean's mission is simple: Turn 100% of the human population into gamers, willingly or otherwise.
