Critical Role: Smiley Day! coming this October

Critical Role: Smiley Day! will be coming in October. This illustrated book will feature Fresh Cut Grass endeavoring to take care of everyone around them:

On October 7, 2025, Random House Worlds, an imprint of Random House, a division of Penguin Random House, will publish CRITICAL ROLE: SMILEY DAY!, an illustrated book by Sam Riegel, co-founder of the acclaimed cross-platform multimedia entertainment sensation Critical Role.

Critical Role’s adventures began in 2015 with a group of friends—veteran game master Matthew Mercer and popular voice actors Ashley Johnson, Marisha Ray, Taliesin Jaffe, Travis Willingham, Sam Riegel, Laura Bailey and Liam O'Brien—sitting down to create new characters, roll some dice, and tell a story that would soon become immortalized in their livestream tabletop roleplaying game.

Six years and three campaigns later, Critical Role's favorite automaton, Fresh Cut Grass, joined the adventuring clan dispensing hilariously unusual but well-meaning advice to the members of Critical Role’s third campaign Bells Hells.
