Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown DLC sets sail October 29

Kliff, Damiane and Oongka are trading dust for sea spray. Are you ready to captain your own ship?

Pywel has deserts, mountains and plenty of things trying to kill you. What it has lacked, until now, is a boat. Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown fixes that, and Pearl Abyss has a new Features Overview video to show how.

The DLC launches on October 29, 2026 at 3PM PT / 6PM ET, and pre-orders are open now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Epic Games Store.

New stories and a whole ocean

The stories of Kliff, Damiane and Oongka pick back up as each sets out to forge their own path. Along the way they'll meet allies and threats, both old and new.

The headline addition is the Great Ocean of Pywel, a new region with its own storyline that you can explore above and below the water. You unlock shipbuilding, gather resources to build and customize your own vessel, then sail out to the ocean's islands. There you can beat down enemy forces and set up new strongholds alongside your Greymane comrades. New underwater traversal lets you dive for sunken ruins, treasure and resources.

A life beyond the sword

  • Romance and marriage: earn the trust of certain characters and you can start a relationship and eventually get married. Close companions may also drop by the Greymane Camp to spend time together.
  • Expanded housing: design your home from the ground up, including where walls, windows and other structural elements go. Liberate certain castles and you can claim and decorate them too.
  • Business management: lease facilities across Pywel, assign comrades and equipment, pick which goods to sell and decide how to run each business to grow its recognition and profits.
  • Boss Gauntlet: a new challenge sends you against powerful bosses from across Pywel, one after another.

That last one is for the fighters who think a ship and a marriage license sound a little too relaxing.

Everyone who pre-orders gets the in-game Charter's Diving Set and Charter's Light Diving Set.
