Bad news coming from Square Enix as Final Fantasy XV’s delay has been officially confirmed by Square Enix. The new release date is marked down for November 29, two months from the intended release date.
Some good news is that Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata confirmed that a 30-minute long gameplay video will be released on August 16, and that a playable version of this gameplay video will be available at Gamescom.
In the video Tabata, addresses fans by explaining the latest delay of the game saying, “from the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this.”
The event certainly raised the bar for the games expectations, and previous reports on the games delay to November had worried many fans. Now that the reports have all been confirmed, this will be a long 2 month wait for one of the most anticipated games of the year. Lets hope that it all pans out.
