Bandai Namco has unveiled Lyle McLeish, a new playable character for Code Vein II, a Revenant swordsman who serves as the ace of The Dawn Chorus—an organization battling to reclaim the Corroded Scar region. Known for his reckless, self-sacrificing combat approach and tendency to work alone, Lyle functions as an evasion-focused attacker with multi-range capabilities, wielding the lightning-charged "Raikasen" sword skill and mid-range Magic Formae attacks. His unique mechanics include the "Overdrive" buff that boosts Attack Power for both himself and the player until either takes damage, plus a Link Trait that rewards perfectly-timed dodges through enemy attacks with Ichor generation, creating a high-pressure offensive playstyle that demands precise anticipation and enemy attack pattern recognition.

Lyle is an evasion-focused attacker capable of engaging effectively at multiple ranges. He wields “Raikasen,” a skill that delivers a sweeping, lightning-charged strike, and makes strategic use of mid-range Magic Formae. His buff “Overdrive” increases Attack Power for both himself and the player until either one is hit. His Link Trait grants Ichor for successfully dodging through enemy attacks, enabling a high-pressure offensive playstyle and rewarding players who can anticipate and read incoming moves.

Code Vein II is launching on January 30, 2026, and is available now for pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. For more information on Code Vein II, stay tuned to GamingTrend!
