City Interactive, known for being the force behind Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, has announced the upcoming release of Alien Fear for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Alien Fear is a sci-fi themed first person shooter developed in Unreal Engine 3 that will offer both single player and local co-op. City Interactive hopes to bring something new to the genre with fast-paced arcade-style gameplay.
Alien Fear is a head-long rush of adrenaline-filled, close quarter combat where players assume the role of a highly trained elite commando on a mission of sabotage. Whether fighting across beautifully composed sci-fi vistas, or working co-operatively to buzzsaw your way through hordes of aggressive enemies, Alien Fear is a sustained burst of arcade aggression.
Alien Fear is currently in development for Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade and Sony PlayStation Network at City Interactive’s Bydgoszcz studio. Additional gameplay details and official release date will be announced in the near future.
It certainly sounds exciting, but not enough is known about the game at this point to really make a call. Hopefully a better picture of the game will develop as more details are released.
Breanna has been gaming since infancy, if gnawing on an unattended controller counts as playing a game. One of the younger members of the Gaming Trend family, she dabbled in PC games as a kid but wasn't fully consumed by the hobby until the sixth generation of consoles. Now an avid PC and console gamer, she looks forward to the day when she can scape together enough cash to join the next gen club.
In the last week of middle school, a math teacher taught her how to program a calculator; she was pretty much hooked then and there. Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science and Applied Math, Breanna hope to someday make games instead of just writing about them. Other hobbies include playing guitar, binge-watching Netflix, and cooking delicious food.
