Get ready to go under the big top… literally.
Today, 2K Games announced Carnival Games VR, the successor to 2007’s Carnival Games for the Wii and 2K’s first foray into VR development.
Carnival Games VR allows players to try their hands at 12 unique carnival attractions, both new and old, such as a haunted house, a shooting gallery, a climbing wall, and carnival classic — alley ball — among others.
Tickets are awarded for playing games, which can then be used to purchase fun in-game items. When you’re not sucking at knocking over milk bottles (yes, that’s also in there), you can interact with those items in free form “playrooms”. (2K has hinted that goofing around with your prizes will unlock in-game achievements!)
Carnival Games VR launches Oct. 28 on PlayStation VR and HTC Vive for about $18.00, with Oculus Rift support coming “later this year”.
If you’re attending PAX West, the game will be playable in the convention center lobby at Booth #S4. Be sure to pop by, then let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
