When I went to Origins, WizKids had several new board games set up besides the usual Heroclix and Dice Masters sets. The newest of these games, Deadline, is available now.
WizKids is excited to announce the release of Deadline, an exciting new card game designed by A.B. West and Dan Schnake, now available in North American retail. Set in 1930’s New York City, players must work together to get as many clues as possible before the Deadline.
Investigate diabolical crimes as a team of 2 – 4 detectives and solve cases of deception, crime, and murder together. Every case has clue cards with symbols that must be matched to unlock their secrets. Players can get hot tips that will help them investigate – but watch out for plot twists that will complicate your investigation.
At the end of each case, players must answer a series of questions based on the clues they have learned. The more you answer, the better detectives you are.
With 12 cooperative cases to play, Deadline is now available for $44.99. Visit your friendly local game store today to test your investigative skills and start cracking the cases!
It’s great to see a true deduction game that isn’t a social deduction game. Be sure to check out my Origins WizKids video to find out more about Deadline.
While not working as a Database Administrator, Keith Schleicher has been associated with Gaming Trend since 2003. While his love of video games started with the Telestar Alpha (a pong console with four different games), he trule started playing video games when he received the ill-fated TI-99/4A. While the Speech Synthesizer seemed to be the height of gaming, eventually a 286 AT computer running at 8/12 Hz and a CGA monitor would be his outlet for a while. Eventually he’d graduate to 386, 486, Pentium, and Athlon systems, building some of those systems while doing some hardware reviews and attending Comdex. With the release of the Dreamcast that started his conversion to the console world. Since then he has acquired an NES, SNES, PS2, PS3, PSP, GBA-SP, DS, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One S, Gamecube, Wii, Switch, and Oculus Quest 2. While not playing video games he enjoys bowling, reading, playing board games, listening to music, and watching movies and TV. He originally hails from Wisconsin but is now living in Michigan with his wife and sons.
