Big Hero 6 world announced for Kingdom Hearts III

Square Enix and Disney have announced that the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III will feature a world based on the 2014 animated film, Big Hero 6.

Square’s Shinji Hashimoto made the announcement today at Disney’s D23 Expo, saying that the film was “a perfect fit for Kingdom Hearts.”  He also showed off concept art of Kingdom Hearts main character Sora riding on the back of Big Hero 6 main character Baymax, flying over the movies fictional city of San Fransokyo.  Check it out below.

According to the film’s producer, Ray Conli, the game’s level will take place after the events of the film.

Announced at E3 2013, Kingdom Hearts III will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, though a release date has not been announced.  Square Enix also announced a world based on the film Tangled at this year’s E3
