Bethesda vs. Notch Over “Scrolls”

Notch, developer of the indie hit Minecraft, has received a letter from Bethesda’s laywers contesting use of the name Scrolls for his next game.  The maker of “The Elder Scrolls” games is apparently worried about confusion between Notch’s upcoming game and Bethesda’s Skyrim.  Oh sorry, I guess that’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim but seriously, we’re all just going to call it Skyrim anyway.

Just got a letter from Bethesta’s lawyers. They claim “Scrolls” infringes on their trademark and everyone will confuse it with Skyrim.

I still <3 Bethesda. This is hopefully just lawyers being lawyers.
