The Best Buy Theater in New York’s Times Square has officially been rebranded and renamed as the “PlayStation Theater.”
The 45,000-square foot, 2,150-capacity concert hall will receive a redesign inside and out to feature the PlayStation brand, including the venue’s Time Square marquee, the partnership’s announcement explains. Sony will also offer “live performances on PlayStation Network, experiential marketing initiatives, and VIP hospitality opportunities.” The PlayStation Theater’s 2015 Fall lineup can be found at the link. Announced performers include Bo Burnham, Danzig, and Circa Survive.
The PlayStation Theater opened in September of 2005 as the Best Buy Theater. It was designed by architect David Rockwell.
