Roll for Combat has a new book full of new options for DMs and players alike. This new book Battlezoo Ancestries: Living Legends will allow you to play as creatures from myth, legends, and folklore from all over the world:
Roll for Combat today announced Battlezoo Ancestries: Living Legends, a massive tome full of playable ancestries and species for two of the most popular tabletop RPGs: Pathfinder 2nd Edition and 5th Edition. The Kickstarter for Battlezoo Ancetries: Living Legends includes the hardcover book, a special edition version, digital assets, plushies, dice, wooden dice mimics, and more.
With Battlezoo Ancestries: Living Legends, players will be able to play as a creature from myth, legend, and fantasy folklore, including ocular evil eyes, nautiloid cerebrophages, stony gargoyles, riddling sphinxes, towering giants, treelike arboreals, ferocious werecreatures, leonine and ophidian lamias, multifaceted swarmblood, scheming devils, celestial angels, as well as golemborn, constructs come to life, and psychopomps, the emissaries of death.

Battlezoo Ancestries: Living Legends also features a new way to play Pathfinder 2e and 5th Edition as never before—with your friends, literally. With the fusion ancestry, now multiple players can play within the same character body as a two-headed giant, cerberus, chimera, hydra, or the new quintron, a living construct formed out of five smaller animal constructs.
Battlezoo Ancestries: Living Legends will launch on Kickstarter on Tuesday, March 11th. Fans who back in the first 72 hours receive a free velvet dice bag with any physical pledge.

Battlezoo Ancestries: Living Legends was designed by Mark Seifter, Pathfinder 2nd Edition co-creator and Roll for Combat’s Director of Game Design, and Stephen Glicker, Roll for Combat’s Publisher, with a star-studded cast of veteran TTRPG authors, including Paizo’s Jessica Catalan and Jason Keeley.
“I grew up reading myths and legends, and I’ve always wanted to make it possible to play those legendary creatures in your games,” explained Mark Seifter, who also wrote books like Battlezoo Ancestries Dragons, which allows players to become dragons, “Living Legends makes that a reality.”
“The playable legends aren’t all! I’ve worked to include all sorts of high-quality special features and extras for this project, and I’m especially proud of the plastic pawns and the psychopomp plushie,” added Stephen Glicker, Roll for Combat’s Publisher.
