Batman: Arkham City is shaping up to be one of the must-buy titles of the year, and Warner Bros is doing what they can to make sure people buy the game new rather than used. That that end, it’s now being reported that playing as Catwoman or her content will require the use of a one-time activation code. The short version of this is, if you pick up your copy of Batman: Arkham City used, you’re not going to have access to Catwoman’s portion of the game unless you buy a fresh code – which will run 800 Microsoft Points on the 360’s Live Arcade, or 10 bucks on the Playstation Network. Catwoman will still appear in your game for story purposes without the code – this applies only to playing as her or playing her content.
Much thanks to Gamasutra for picking up on this one.
