Today, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. released the first part of their Soulcalibur documentary series, Souls and Swords: The Rise of Soulcalibur. It will take a dive back to see what made the series so popular with gamers over generations.
With over 20 years of history stemming from the arcades, moving onto consoles, and now days away from launching on the most powerful generation of gaming hardware in video game history, SOULCALIBUR has always presented ground breaking weapons-based gameplay that has captured the souls of gamers. With SOULCALIBUR VI launching on October 19th, we wanted to take a moment to look back at the origins of the franchise, only by knowing our history, can we hope to achieve a better future.
