Unisoft has revealed during Gamescom 2017 their new cinematic trailer for the latest, and taking place the earliest, entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed: Origins. In this trailer, various historical figures appear including Cleopatra. The song “You Want it Darker” by Leonard Cohen plays in the background of this trailer, fitting the context of it perfectly. You’ve gotta hand it to Ubisoft – they always know how to pick the right soundtrack for these trailers.
Gamescom officially takes place August 22nd to August 26th, but that won’t stop the gaming industry from showing off new trailers ahead of it. Expect more trailers to come out as the week progresses.
Assassin’s Creed Origins won our our Best Action Game of E3 2017 award, as well as picking up a nomination for Best Multiplatform Game.
Assassin’s Creed Origins will be available October 27, 2017 for the Xbox One, PlayStation, and PC and November 7, 2017 for Xbox One X.
