Ares Games releases the epic game of Mega Empires

Ares Games is releasing two standalone versions of Mega Empires, The East and The West. These two versions are compatible together to create the ultimate game of civilization. Read more about Mega Empires below:

January 2025 – Get ready to lead and develop your civilization through 8000 years of history: Ares Games announces the release of the new civ-building game line Mega Empires, an epic game series for 3 to 18 players. Mega Empires: The West and Mega Empires: The East are two stand-alone games, compatible with each other, capturing the development of ancient civilizations, from the Atlantic Ocean to India. They are now arriving in stores, alongside several items to increase the gameplay experience.

Mega Empires is the new version of the legendary Mega Civilization board game, created by Colossus Games and published by Ares Games. It builds on that epic foundation, making the system accessible to players counts from 3 to 18 players, from shorter 3-hour scenarios to legendary day-long sessions. In Mega Empires: The West, 5 to 9 players lead civilizations from the Atlantic Ocean to the Middle East, while in Mega Empires: The East 3 to 9 players develop their civilizations from the Middle East to India.

In Mega Empires, players lead their civilizations by trade, conflict, and cultural advancement, as they expand from the Stone Age, through the Bronze Age to the end of the Iron Age, to accumulate the most victory points. A full game guarantees hours of enjoyment to players who love epic board games with a strong historical context.

In addition to the two base games, the game line debuts in stores with items to increase the players’ experience.

The Deluxe Game Mats The West and The East offer an enlarged playing area and high-quality design for easier and more immersive gameplay. The expansion Special Buildings allows to construct a special building and receive benefits in play and additional Victory Points at the end of the game.

The Identifier Cards Bonus Pack features 18 high-quality cards designed to manage Civilization advances, and the Upgrade & 3-4 Players Pack allows to update the first edition of the Mega Empires system with new components and to support gameplay for 3-4 players.
