ARC Raiders switches to bi-annual major content updates

Next major update set for October!

ARC Raiders switches to bi-annual major content updates

Embark Studios has announced that ARC Raiders will be switching from monthly major content drops to bi-annual updates. The next major update, Frozen Trails, is expected to drop sometime in October. The game will still receive smaller, more regular updates for bug fixes and events. For full details, see the information below:

Today, Embark Studios shared an update on the future of ARC Raiders, announcing a shift in how the game will be updated moving forward.

To ensure the game’s long-term sustainability and allow for more impactful changes, Embark is moving away from monthly content drops to a bi-annual update cadence. A dedicated live team will continue to handle regular updates, bug fixes, and events.

The first of these major updates, Frozen Trail, arrives this October as the largest expansion since launch. Key features include:

- A Sprawling New Frontier - A new landscape in the Rust Belt with layered design and new mysteries to uncover in the largest map in the game.

- Our Most Ambitious ARC Operation So Far - New ARC enemies with fresh designs, and unique behaviors that will challenge Raiders in new ways.

- New Systems of Progression - Many players have maxed out their Raider Den and hit the Skill Point ceiling. Frozen Trail will introduce new goals and more ways to shape your Raider’s progression.

- Exploring the Origin of ARC - What are ARC and where do they come from? Frozen Trail gives Raiders the opportunity to begin uncovering that mystery.

Embark is also introducing a fresh mechanic designed for late-game players: a new Nomadic Trader, which will arrive in game next week and unlock for players at level 25 and above. He offers unique rewards, rare items and cosmetics in exchange for players’ high-value items.
