Animal Dash to Limited Run Games for Tomba! physical editions

Today, Limited Run Games revealed the physical editions for Tomba! Special Edition. These include a standard physical, with just the game (on a thumb drive for the PC version), a Classic Edition including the game, a booklet, a double sided poster, a SteelBook, a two disc soundtrack with the original and remastered tunes, and a collector’s box. Finally, the Whoopie Edition, named after developers Whoopie Camp, gets you everything in the Classic Edition plus Tomba and Koma Pig figures, art prints, and a hardcover art book and strategy guide.

Whoopee Camp’s Tomba! was originally released as an exclusive for the original PlayStation. Directed by Tokuro Fujiwara, known previously for his work on Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Mega Man 2, and Resident Evil, the title received praise from critics and developed a cult following after its debut, cementing it as one of the great classics of the PSOne era. Now, Limited Run’s Carbon Engine brings this classic back on modern consoles and the PC. This port packs in tons of extras, including save and rewind features, a museum featuring never-before-seen content, a remastered soundtrack, and an all-new interview with the creator.

The design team at Limited Run has gone whole-hog on the Classic and Whoopie Editions offered in their physical collection. These collections include posters featuring fun, colorful art, a soundtrack collection featuring the original and remastered soundtrack, and a bubblegum pink Steelbook. Tomba! Megafans can look forward to even more in the Whoopee Edition, which includes extra art prints, Toma and Koma figures, and a hardcover art book and strategy guide.

Limited Run will also offer a full merch collection alongside their pre-orders of the game, including Tomba and Pig plush, a t-shirt, snapback hat, keychains, and a limited quantity of special NEO S controllers from CRKD.

Tomba! Special Edition will also release digitally for Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC. It’s a full remaster of my childhood- I mean the 1997 classic Adventure Platformer including the ability to save anywhere, rewind, analog controls, a museum mode, a remastered soundtrack, and an interview with creator Tokuro Fujiwara.
