Candies ‘n Curses, the first game from Tako Boy Studios, was developed by a team of two ( Phil Giarrusso and Tom Ferrer) with the help of a phenomenal sound designer Cesar Tovar. Despite the small team this game has smashed through barriers making it a top selling free to play game on iOS and Android.
Candies ‘n Curses is a 2D arcade rogue-lite game, featuring chaotic ‘sugar-rushed’ ghost slaying. Play as Molli Pop as you fend off hordes of adorable ghosts and mischievous bosses all within the cursed walls of a twisted mansion to rescue her friend. Power-up with new flashlights and abilities as you level up – and join forces with ghostly pups and other spectral creatures as you work together to purge the mansion of its ghostly residents. After receiving feedback from fans, the most requested addition was different costumes for Molli, and developer Tako Boy Studios has provided three costumes and different color pallette variations that are available in-game as downloadable content.
