Jason Trost's commitment to experimentation and independent production brings us Afar, an interactive experience combining live action footage with choose your own adventure progression. I've talked about his work a few times, most recently with sidescrolling horror movie The Waves of Madness, but Afar is based on his supernatural horror How to Save Us.
A solo project, the gameputs players in the role of Brian Everette, a paranormal investigator searching for missing contestants from a survival reality show gone wrong. Every decision changes the outcome, leading to five different endings and countless ways to die.
Afar recently premiered at Nightmares Film Festival, where it claimed the top Film From Hell award.

You can take a look at the trailer below. If you're interested at all in this $9.99 experience, Steam contains the full FMV videogame, alongside an interactive DVD and a choose-your-own-horror paperback.
