After a brief teaser yesterday, Activision has revealed Guitar Hero Live for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
Guitar Hero Live will forgo the in-game characters for the chance to let users play in front of a simulated crowd, or play with a song’s music video playing in the background. Also changing is the guitar peripheral, which will now feature three frets with two buttons on each. The game and the guitar will cost $99.99. Artists confirmed to be featured in Guitar Hero Live include The Black Keys, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Gary Clark, Jr., Green Day, Ed Sheeran, The War on Drugs, The Killers, Skrillex, The Rolling Stones, The Lumineers, Pierce the Veil and Blitz Kids.
Guitar Hero Live will be available this fall. Now, Activision is directly competing with the recently announced Rock Band 4, which has been rumored to be released in October.
