Remember neither Scott nor I am in no way endorsing these games, we have not played them, we have not talked to the publishers. Back at your own risk.

Posthuman
Apparent Weight: Medium
Genre: Post-Apocalyptic, Horror, Tile exploration
Post Apocalyptic games are huge right now- and not very hard to find. Everywhere you turn you run into a zombie in a deserted wasteland. Mighty Box, along with Mr. B Games, took this popular theme and created something a bit different in Posthuman. Instead of zombies, players are fighting their way across the land to find supplies, shelter, and food all the while escaping mutant attacks (there are no zombies in this rodeo!). Gain too many wounds from mutants and you will evolve into one of them leaving humanity behind (…kinda like a zombies). There is a lot going on in Posthuman but it all seems to work well together to create an immersive game. If you are interested in post apocalyptic combat games you should definitely check this out

Raiders of the North Sea
Apparent Weight: Medium
Genre:Vikings, Worker Placement
To raid or not to raid… is that really ever the question? Raiders of the North Sea is a game where players are vikings raiding, working, and collecting resources across the ocean blue. Players will have to assemble a crew, provide provisions and then plunder their way to victory. The art in this game is beautiful from the character cards down to the board itself. Though I am not a huge fan of the components, the higher stretch goals seem to address this plain-wooden-cube issue. Stop by the campaign page to see these raiders in all their glory!

Boss Monster: The Next Level
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Anti-Hero Dungeon Crawl, Card game, 8-bit
Guess who’s back? Back again… those pesky little heros trying to steal our villainous glory, that’s who! Boss Monster 2: The Next Level, brings players the same good stuff of the first version but with added heros, new monsters, and additional spells that all lead to a more interactive experience. This can be added to the original Boss Monster as a mega expansion or played as a stand alone game. If you didn’t get to back Boss Monster the first time, here is your chance to get in on the dungeon floor.

Salem
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Social Deception, Cards, Witchcraft
Deception, accusations, and witchcraft! As a resident of Massachusetts I get a bit excited about the Salem Witch Trials, so this theme appeals to me. Salem is a card game that has players accuse their friends of being a witch, take them to trail and reveal their true identity. This reminds me a lot of Werewolf and Bang but with a new theme and some added strategy. This is one game that I look forward to playing.

Touchy Feely
Apparent Weight: Light
Genre: Party game, Lights out!
And now for something completely different. Touchy Feely is a party game where players have to complete tasks from drafted cards in the dark. Though more of an activity than a board game, Touchy Feely will be sure to keep people entertained. This game will lead to extreme silliness and giggle fits, so back with caution.
And as always, if you have KS topics that interest you, let Scott know @Scooter_TTTD
I haven't always been a gamer. Roller Coaster Tycoon was about as gamey as I got until I met and married my gaming husband. Since 2010 we have been playing every game we can get our hands on. I am drawn to games with high player interaction, superb art, and strong themes.
