9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far is set to leave early access and fully launch on August 26th, 2024. 9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far is a compelling blend of nostalgia and innovation, taking the real-time strategy genre to new heights while honoring classic RTS games. Petroglyph Games announced that their latest video game, 9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far, is coming out of early access on the 26th of August 2024 at 10 AM PST on Steam.

About “9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far”:

“9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far” offers a compelling blend of nostalgia and innovation. Players can delve into a campaign that takes inspiration from Petroglyph’s previous games such as the Command & Conquer™ Remastered Collection and STAR WARS™ Empire at War, along with other games in the Real-Time Strategy genre.

– Two Factions: Two fully fleshed out but asymmetrically opposed factions in the Overlords and Sentinels
– Two Classic RTS Campaigns: Enjoy 24-missions over two campaigns. Level up as you progress, unlocking new units and veterancy as your persistent army advances.
– Co-Op: Play the entire campaign with a friend or go it alone, your choice.
– Skirmish: Customizable PVE game mode playing against AI bots of other players.
– Daily Challenges: Take on a different challenge and compete on the leaderboards.
– Sonic Soundscape: An all-new soundtrack from award-winning video game composer Frank Klepaccki.

Since releasing in early access back in February the game has received over 24 game updates, with new content, gamemodes and improvements:

– Sentinels Campaign: The second campaign is out, play solo or with a friend.
– Survival Mode: A new way to play with waves of enemies in a mode that you can tackle alone or with up to 4 friends.
– Replays and Observer Mode: You can now watch other games online as a spectator or replay games to study the tactics used.
– Difficulty Balance: The AI has learned, but we also tweaked and re-balanced, ensuring you can find the right difficulty level for you.
– Gameplay Additions: New maps, new unit abilities, an improved UI and new challenges.
