Journey art director Matt Nava’s new foray has been revealed in the form of Abzu.
Saddled with a very odd title, Abzu seems to follow a main character navigating around under water. It also featured quite the beautiful whale, which is something I think we can all get behind.
“We are hard at work on ABZÛ, which has already been in active development for about a year,” said Matt Nava, Creative Director, Giant Squid. “I am very lucky to be collaborating with a team of extremely talented developers who aren’t satisfied unless we are innovating at every step of our process. Our goal is to create unique, meaningful experiences that resonate with players on a deep level.
As you may expect, not much is known regarding Abzu right now. We will know more next year as Abzu is currently slated to release in 2016 on the PS4 and PC. Above is the trailer shown at E3.
