Hello! Welcome to Friday Tabletop Kickstarter Update! For info on what is going on here, check out this introduction. Sorry about missing last week, I was out at PAX East talking to a bunch of publishers, getting to scop on upcoming titles. You will see more of that one the main page in the coming week. For now here is a solid collection of projects that you should be checking out, I certainly am.
Remember that I am in no way endorsing these games, I have not played them, I have not talked to the publishers. Back at your own risk.

Seven7s
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Card management, Set collection, Variable card power
Possibly pulling a cue from Red7, Seven7s takes the elegance (and convenience) of seven sets of seven for player to wrestle with. Presented with very different choices, but still reigned in to be manageable, players attempt to utilize the cards in their had to make sets that score the most points. I love the theme they picked, and the artwork looks great.

Blood Rage
Apparent Weight: Medium
Genre: ‘AmeriTreasure’ strategy game, Miniatures, Vikings
Perennial Kickstarter publisher CoolMiniOrNot is funding their latest, Blood Rage. In this game players take on Viking Clans vying to take control of land and power before Ragnarök ends everything. As standard of CMON productions, this game is jam packed with fancy looking miniatures. On top of all of that, the designer is the legendary Eric Lang! It cannot get better than that.

Brewin’ USA
Apparent Weight: Medium
Genre: Resource auction, Set collection, Area control
It feels weird that there are not more games about beer, especially craft brews. Other than Brewcrafters, I cannot think of any other game that touch on this seemingly popular theme. Brewin’ USA was put through the 2014 Tabletop Deathmatch, and came out as a finalist among many other awesome games. Players compete to collect the right sets of ingredients they need for their brews and then compete for regional markets. They have done their homework and put a very nice polish on what looks like an interesting game.

The Red Dragon Inn:5 The Character Trove
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Card management, player elimination
Continuing on with The Red Dragon Inn series, Slugfest is running a campaign for the fifth expansion: The Character Trove. Red Dragon Inn covers what happens after heros come back from fighting dragons all day, when they are relaxing and letting loose at the local pub. Don’t worry, you can play this expansion right out of the box without having to have access to any of the other expansions or base game.

Entropy
Apparent Weight: Light
Genre: Simultaneous action selection, Set collection
The stunning art work of Entropy caught my eye first, but then as I read through the description of the game, my interest was hooked. Each turn players pick a role with associated action, then simultaneously reveal them. Play resolves in initiative order on the cards, but if two people picked the same role, then neither get to go. Players are racing to complete their set of cards first. Check this one out, they are blowing through stretch goals adding a bunch to what looks like an awesome game.

From Trading in the Mediterranean to FPS, I love games. While I grew up in a house without consoles, PC gaming and board gaming were a large part of my formative years, and continue to influence my life. In this golden age of board gaming, I have jumped in headfirst in to anything table top. As a ludilogical student, I love thinking about how games work, their mechanics, their elegance and most importantly, enjoying how fun they are.
Favorite Board Game (at the moment): Twilight Struggle
Favorite PC Game (base solely on play time): Tie between WoW and DII
