We're back to recap a great week of comics we read here at GamingTrend.com! This week we're talking about two stories releasing today over on Titan-Comics.com, Doctor Who: The Fifteenth Doctor: Everyone Must Go and the brand new series, Dopeman. Each brings something very different to the table, so let's discuss them!

Doctor Who: The Fifteenth Doctor: Everyone Must Go – Vol. 1

Doctor Who is the longest running Sci-Fi show out there and has a legendary status in the genre. Here is a great example of a BEAUTIFUL story that follows the Doctor Who formula. The cool thing about comic books though is that it just has more than what one episode could usually do on Television.

You have a great connection between Doctor and Companion, three "villains", and a really interesting premise being in the mall at the end of the world. It isn't the first time we've seen a world ending moment in Doctor Who, but this one has a lot of fun twists and turns to it and is a quick read.

Even if you haven't watched Doctor Who since the Tennant era on, you can still really enjoy picking up this story as a standalone adventure through space and time.

Dopeman – Vol. 1

The world as we know it is over. After legalizing drugs to a high extent, the world is thrown into chaos as those who choose to pump their bodies full of these highly potent drugs become Dopemen. These Dopemen are superpowered individuals and we can say... most of them are not out to be superheroes.

The D-Unit is created full of Dopemen who were either arrested themselves and want to help, or are just out to defeat other Dopemen. We don't know everyone's reasoning quite yet, but the air of mystery is STRONG in this first volume. They work on the side of the police, going to areas where normal cops won't cut it. That also means the Dopemen know that any fight could be their last and they're being thrown in first.

The writing is good, the action is fun, and the characters have enough redeeming qualities you want to see them succeed in their lives. Those who are evil so far, are quite evil on enough levels you're okay wishing for their demise. While some come characters, on both sides, off arrogant or selfish, the D-Unit has a code of sorts, we just have to wait to see how long that code will last.
