The Story of Kingdom Hearts — Better Than You Think

This is the fourth in Gaming Trend’s new column “Better Than You Think.” This is where we take aspects of games, for some reason or another, that may have been neglected when judged by the community at large, and actually give them the chance they were asking for.

The fourth episode is about the story quality of Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts has a bit of a reputation when considering its story, and how it goes about binding together Disney’s cartoon antics and Square Enix’s melodramatic story-telling. But there’s a charm to it, one that has earned it a massive following, and in this video we try and narrow down what makes the story great.

This concludes the first four episodes, made before the series launched. What did you think? If there’s any game you think deserves a second chance, any story you thought was worth more than how it was received, or an old treasure of yours you’d like to see given a bit of a spotlight, let us know in the comments below, or even in the comments about this video over on our Youtube Channel.

This episode was written, voiced, and edited by Calvin Trager, also know as TTrgr.
