Hello! Welcome to Friday Tabletop Kickstarter Update! For info on what is going on here, check out this introduction. We are starting to hit the lull before Spieltag Essen, but there are still some solid catches in the vast sea of Kickstarter.
Remember that I am in no way endorsing these games, I have not played them, I have not talked to the publishers. Back at your own risk.

Kings of Air and Steam: World’s Fair
Apparent Weight: Medium
Genre: Programmed movement, Pick up and delivery
Tasty Minstrel is looking to produce an expansion for one of their standards, Kings of Air and Steam. In this expansion, World’s Fair, players start the game by drafting a special ability that can be activated later in the game. For those steampunk fans looking to jump into a well received system, or for those who already love Kings of Air and Steam, this one is for you.

All Fathomed Out
Apparent Weight: Light-Medium
Genre: Deep sea diving, Exploration, Tile placement, Card collection
When I first saw the project page for All Fathomed Out, I was impressed by the interesting theme and overall presentation. Unfortunately the first go at funding the game failed, however Daniel Marthaler is back on Kickstarter and has already secured his $5K goal. In this game players are exploring though a huge stack of ocean tiles looking for the most diverse species. I, for one, am happy to see this game get a solid second chance.

Booze Barons
Apparent Weight: Medium-Light
Genre: Hidden role, Social deduction
Overworld Games is starting to make a name for themselves on Kickstarter. Their first two titles, Good Cop Bad Cop and New Salem are shining examples of high quality, well executed, Kickstarter games from a burgeoning publisher. In Booze Barons, players are trying to keep their mob on top of the speakeasy wave, but they don’t always know who their friends are, or their enemies for that matter. Advertised as a social deduction game for people who don’t like down time or player elimination, Booze Barons deserves a look.

Meepillows
Apparent Weight: Plush
Genre: Fluffy Accessory
Let’s face it. Gamers don’t always have the best taste when it comes to interior decorating. But now you can add some color to your drab living room and show of the greatest hobby on earth! Get yourself a Meepillow! I cannot wait to see someone make a Carcassonne tile quilt to accompany their set of meepillows.

From Trading in the Mediterranean to FPS, I love games. While I grew up in a house without consoles, PC gaming and board gaming were a large part of my formative years, and continue to influence my life. In this golden age of board gaming, I have jumped in headfirst in to anything table top. As a ludilogical student, I love thinking about how games work, their mechanics, their elegance and most importantly, enjoying how fun they are.
Favorite Board Game (at the moment): Twilight Struggle
Favorite PC Game (base solely on play time): Tie between WoW and DII
