This year, as part of Extra Life, I (Eric) will be streaming for 24 hours in order to raise money for my local children’s hospital, Dell Children’s Medical Center.
Extra Life has been going for a good number of years now, and is a fantastic charity that I always love to take part in. It’s a fun way for gamers to pull their own “marathon,” as we fight sleep deprivation and tenuous loading screens to help out a good cause.
The stream will take place from 10 am CST on Saturday, October 25, to 10 am CST the following day. The whole thing will be livestreamed on my own Twitch channel, www.twitch.tv/seamoosi. The games I plan on playing are:
– A full run-through of Dragon Age: Origins (in anticipation for Inquisition!)
– A full playthrough of the new The Legend of Korra game
– Some multiplayer games, including Dota 2, Strife, League of Legends, and Hearthstone
Anyone who would like to donate to the marathon and Dell Children’s can do so at this link. As of the writing of this, I’m only five bucks short of my personal fundraising goal; I’d love to hit that goal and go even higher by Saturday. And if you can’t donate, then tune in on Saturday and keep me company in the chat! I’ll need it by the time Sunday morning rolls around.
For any further information or questions, post ’em in the comments below or send me a message on Twitter at @seamoosi.
