After a long period of playtesting, Daybreak Games announced that PlanetSide Arena will be receiving a Closed Beta period starting January 30th, 2019. They have not yet stated how to join the Closed Beta, but they will share a full FAQ with information on how to join along with the exact times tomorrow. However, while the above trailer states that the game will be released on January 29th, 2019, it has been delayed to March 26th.
The Closed Beta session will allow Daybreak Games to see how the servers can handle a large amount of players as well as give players a chance to offer feedback for the developers. In addition to the Closed Beta and release date announcements, details on the Founders Season have been revealed.
Along with our Closed Beta news, we’re also excited to announce an additional bonus for those of you who pre-ordered: the Founders Season! The Founders Season will begin on February 20, 2019 and will feature an exclusive Battle Pass with items you can only earn during this season. Everyone who pre-orders PlanetSide Arena will immediately gain access to the Founders Season and Battle Pass on February 20. It’s our way of thanking all of you for hanging in there while we prime the Arena for launch.
