We already knew the sales of Majesco’s Zumba Fitness were good enough for the publisher to finance a sequel, but today’s news brings word that the Kinect version will include enough unique features to earn itself a new name. While the PS3 and Wii will still be receiving Zumba Fitness 2, the freshly rechristened Zumba Fitness Rush will be exclusive to the 360’s motion tracking peripheral.
Featuring 42 hot new music tracks, sizzling choreography and a huge variety of new dance styles and arenas, Zumba® Fitness Rush invites players to dance their way into shape with a fun and proven program. Six Zumba® instructors get you moving to the beat, including celebrity instructors Beto Perez, Tanya Beardsley and Gina Grant, plus new stars exclusive to the Kinect game: Kass Martin, Jason Thompson and Erica Pierce. Each star instructor personally guides players through choreography that ranges in style from Merengue and Samba to Bollywood and Latin Pop. Dance hands-free as Kinect for Xbox 360 accurately tracks your every move.
Other features specific to the Kinect are 360 Achievements that unlock behind-the-scenes Zumba videos and DLC packages to be specified later. More details can be found behind the Press Release below, and at the game’s official site. Zumba Fitness Rush is expected to arrive sometime in February of next year.
