Side-scroller rogue-lite shooter, WAR RATS: The Rat em Up!, released on April 22nd, 2025 to early access on Steam. Since that time, the game has garnered a 98% positive rating. The single-lane MOBA will explode out of early access on November 20th.
The solo developer behind WAR RATS, Brian J Murphy (Also known as Wootus), has been refining his art style for years, with a passion for drawing rats. The art direction in WAR RATS showcases the contrast between the game's two factions, the Old Guard and the Techno-Rats; eldritch tradition vs corrupted progress.
