Atomic Mass Games brings the Spider-Foes Starter Set, providing everything a player needs to get started in MCP!

In my review of the X-Men Starter Set, I called out that it was an excellent purchase, especially for folks who want some specific models for Marvel Crisis Protocol and don't want or need to buy the Core Game set, and for the Spider-Foes it's exactly the same.

Marvel: Crisis Protocol - Spider Foes Starter Set
A full roster of some of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains are set to send a jolt to the Spidey-Senses as they take to the streets of New York with one goal in mind: swat down the spider! This Starter Set contains all the miniatures, Character Stat Cards, and Team Tactic Cards for the following characters: Green Goblin

Like the X-Men set, the Spider-Foe Starter Set comes with 10 models from Spider-Man's rogues gallery including Mysterio, Carnage, Lizard, Kraven the Hunter, Green Goblin, Rhino, Vulture, Electro, Sandman, and Shocker, along with 2 terrain elements for Sandman.

Also in the box are a set of dice, measurement tools, tokens, and character and crisis cards—effectively everything you need to play the game minus the terrain and additional models the Core set provides. This makes it another great deal for gamers, being priced under $100.

Unlike the X-Men set, however, this set is BIG. Physically. The box feels twice the size of the X-Men box and for good reason ... the sprues are massive. Rhino and Sandman are pretty big models, so it feels like this box is an even better deal than the X-Men box. Once again, this box has reprints of existing models, so some of the bits will be difficult to put together, like Green Goblin's face or Carnage's tendrils. However, with some patience and thin cement, you will be successful in putting together this crew.

Like the other box, I love having the updated cards. With the newest Core set, AMG switched to horizontal cards, which work better on my table and I assume other folk's tables.  And about the cards, this set includes some pretty great affiliation cards and character specific cards which will make any Spider-Foe fan proud. In fact, there is one card that seems absolutely terrifying, which allows Kraven the Hunter to take your opponent's Peter Parker card and add Spider-Man to your squad.  While I haven't played with the Spider-Foes yet, this seems wildly fun and powerful to pull off.

Once again, I have to recommend these sets. They're worth it if you're after the models, and if you haven't purchased a Core set, you'll enjoy all of the parts. You end up with a perfect team right out of the box, and everything else that you need.
