Jurassic World Evolution 3 was one of my favorite games of 2025, so when the DLC was released, I just had to get my hands on it. This DLC came with a whole host of patch notes too, which were completely spectacular.
We got a complete host of new dinosaurs, including the Irritator, Austroraptor, Hypsilophodon, and Deinocheirus, which came free with the update. My favorite dinosaur of this pack is the Austroraptor, but honestly, I am happy with all of the dinosaurs released with this update.
The reason I like the Austroraptor the best is because of its animations. Jurassic World Evolution 3 has completely blown me away with how alive the dinosaurs feel, and these DLC dinos are no different. Seriously, lock them in an enclosure and watch them hunt other dinosaurs; it's outstanding! The semi-aquatic dinosaurs are a real standout. I have lost track of time just watching them exist within their enclosure. With that said, I would’ve loved to have some changes to the way that water works. It still feels clunky to create deep water, which is such a shame.
We also got a new Wetland Brush, which has become my go-to brush when creating landscapes for these dinosaurs. This brush is gorgeous and is suitable for Temperate and Tropical dinosaurs, so it's useful for other dinosaurs, not just those included in the DLC pack. For those who like to put down trees, we also have Cypress Trees, which inspired me to decorate my enclosures for once.
For those of us who like to use the island generator tool, we have three new biomes to use, including Desert, Mediterranean, and Temperate. There is also a new Beaches slider, which I am obsessed with. Enclosures right on the edge of a Beach add a lot to the scenery of your park. There were a whole host of other changes, too, but these stand out in my mind the most.
They did a fantastic job at nailing the wetlands theme, and not just with the dinosaurs. The scenery options are superb and fit nicely into any enclosure. The animations for hunting are great, and each dinosaur has a unique animation, so be sure to zoom in and look at them closely. All in all, this DLC and the update that came with it were fantastic.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Wetlands is a fantastic start for the game's DLC cycle. The dinosaur animations are top-notch, and the content included exceeds my expectations.
