Last year at Origins, we sat down and played a prototype of a new deckbuilder that Mayfair Games was planning on releasing later in the year- Oliva, from the talented folks at PYTHAGORAS. We were so blown away by the two sessions we played we forgot to take pictures or notes. Needless to say, getting a full demo for our viewers was a priority for us and we finally were able to at PAX Unplugged in November.
Oliva is one of the most unique and interesting deckbuilding games we have seen in years, and frankly, if we would have spent a little more time with it before the year was over it might have made our Best of 2025 roster (had it come out in time).
We want to play this. NOW.
