The Chill-out jazz group returns with new sophisticated arrangements for piano, upright bass, and mellow drums, celebrating music from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom
Today, GameChops released Zelda & Jazz III, a 15 track album of jazz style renditions of music from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Videogame music record label GameChops is pleased to present Zelda & Jazz III, a triumphant 15-track return to The Deku Trio's acclaimed chill-out jazz stylings featuring intimate piano, upright bass, and mellow drums. This volume sets itself apart by focusing on recent The Legend of Zelda titles, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The tracklisting captures unforgettable locales, characters, and narrative moments, all with classy jazz lounge sensibility. Featured tracks are composed by Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, Tsukasa Usui, Hajime Wakai, Maasa Miyoshi, and Masato Ohashi.
The Deku Trio — created by GameChops founder Chris Davidson and Chillhop's Rob Araujo — is an animated band dedicated to thoughtful, hand-crafted jazz interpretations of music from The Legend of Zelda. Their 2024 debut and encore albums earned international praise and recognition and have had fans clamoring for more.

"I became an instant fan of Rob's forward-thinking piano arrangements after meeting him," says GameChops founder Chris Davidson. "After bonding over our mutual love of The Legend of Zelda games, we decided to collaborate on a jazz band focused on mellow, intricate arrangements of the iconic soundtracks. After the first album recieved such a huge response from listeners, including our first BBC radio play for GameChops, we conceptualized a trilogy that covered a huge swath of the Zelda series. It's been an amazing journey!”
