Today, EA and Hazelight Studios released a new trailer for Split Fiction highlighting the return of Hazelight’s signature feature, Friend’s Pass, which allows players to share in the explosive co-op experience with a friend for free with just one copy of the game.
With Split Fiction, Friend’s Pass is back and better than ever with a brand new crossplay function, allowing anyone to team up on different platforms including PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If neither partner owns a copy of the game, both players can still jump into a FREE game trial with Friend’s Pass to sample the Hazelight team’s co-op magic! Learn more about the Friend’s Pass and how to use the feature in a new blog post HERE!
In Split Fiction, players collaborate as fantasy writer Zoe and sci-fi author Mio, two opposites who must work together to escape a simulation of worlds created from their own written stories. Designed for two, Split Fiction is a true co-op adventure where players can dive into genre-jumping gameplay and build their teamwork skills while journeying through incredible sci-fi and fantasy worlds.
Split Fiction will launch on March 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and the EA app for $49.99. Using the Friend’s Pass to play Split Fiction will require a free EA Account, so be sure to sign up here. Don’t have a friend to play with? Gamers in search of a co-op partner can use the “Looking for Player” channels on the Hazelight Discord server to set up game sessions with other players in the community.
