Bringing the game up to 930,000 words

Today, Black Tabby Games released the fifth episode out of seven for Scarlet Hollow, a branching narrative horror game.

The entirety of Scarlet Hollow's fifth chapter is finally here for you to dig into! This has been an incredibly long and fulfilling journey for us, and we're so grateful for everyone who's given their support over the years.

Here's the Episode in numbers:

• 300,000 words of branching narrative for you to explore, bringing the game's total word count up to 930,000. Though you'll be lucky if you see 10% of those words in a single playthrough!
• Over 1,700 new illustrations, including over 100 HD backgrounds.
• 24 brand new tracks of music from our composer, Brandon Boone, and with several tracks of vocals performed by Amelia Jones.
• Over 60 new achievements.

If you've yet to play Scarlet Hollow, the first Episode is FREE, and the game is currently 25% off on Steam!

We'll provide a roadmap for what's next in the coming days, but for now, we're sure you're as eager to dive in as we are to finally share our work with you.
Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut review — Princess my reflection
You have returned to the path, the path that leads to the cabin. In that cabin remains the Princess, and your job is still to slay her. But something’s different. The path leads to more places, the princess more multifaceted, the pristine blade more… pristine. You may have more

This is a big game, and it's only getting bigger from here. I adored another Black Tabby game, Slay the Princess, so while I'm excited to dive into Scarlet Hollow I'm waiting for the game to be finished before I do so. A game like this takes a long time to make, and personally I don't want to be left on a cliffhanger for that long - the game entered early access in 2021, but this is a labor of love and the devs are taking the time they need to make sure it's as good as it can be. If you enjoy the suspense, however, be sure to check out the game's free demo on Steam. For more on Black Tabby Games, stay tuned to GamingTrend.
