Xbox App expands to Arm-based Windows 11 devices

The Xbox app is loaded with content, and now even more can enjoy it PC side. Arm-based Windows 11 devices have received the Xbox app in full, allowing them to enjoy Game Pass and more. The details are below, check it out especially if you have an Arm-based Windows 11 device!

Today, the Xbox app is now available on all Arm-based Windows 11 devices, enabling players to now download and enjoy a wide range of titles from the Xbox PC app game catalog  on Arm-based Windows 11 devices.

With this update, more than 85% of the Game Pass catalog is now compatible with these PCs, with support continuing to grow as platform capabilities expand. For titles not yet running natively, players can jump in via Xbox Cloud Gaming, while the Xbox team works with partners to broaden compatibility.

Since releasing the Xbox app to Windows and Xbox Insiders and listening to the gaming community, here are several platform updates that have been implemented to expand compatibility:
  • Prism, the emulator that runs x86/x64 software on Arm, now supports AVX and AVX2, increasing compatibility for many modern games.
  • Epic Anti-Cheat (EAC) support also enables fan-favorites for games on Arm-based Windows 11 PCs, including popular titles such as Gears of War: Reloaded, Fortnite, and more.
  • Windows Performance Fit offers guidance on which titles should play well on a given device based on its hardware capabilities, so players can feel confident choosing what to download.
