WWE 2k26 hasn't stopped with the news, and it is easy to miss something! So let's catch up with everything WWE 2K26 has shown off in the last few weeks. If you want to catch up further than that, be sure to check out the coverage we have been doing for WWE 2K26!
MYRISE Storylines
Once again, we will be choosing between the Men's and Women's divisions as we dive into MYRISE. The setup sounds interesting this time around, though. For the last few years, the MYRISE stories haven't been good enough to keep me playing the gamemode.
In MyRISE, players choose a Men’s or Women’s Division storyline to take on the role of The Archetype, a Superstar returning to WWE after a two-year absence.
I like that we are not coming back on top. Instead, we suffer a major loss. It sounds like we will have to fight to regain the championship, and we will be able to do that with honor or turn our back on the WWE universe.
What should be a triumphant comeback quickly unravels, as players suffer a crushing defeat at the hands of one of Paul Heyman’s champions, Bron Breakker and Jordynne Grace. MyRISE challenges players to make important choices and decide what kind of Superstar they want to become, and if they will fight their way back to the top with honor, or turn their back on the WWE Universe, embracing deception to reclaim championship glory.
I am stoked for this next part. We are basically traveling through the WWE. I like this from the ground-up approach, and I am hoping that it makes the story feel more organic. I'll probably play twice to experience both sides.
Players will be taken through a journey that spans pivotal WWE moments, including a return at the Performance Center, a potential opportunity from Adam Pearce in NXT, and a high-stakes WrestleMania showdown. Along the way, players will encounter career-defining decisions and rivalries that will shape how The Archetype is perceived.
The rewards don't sound too bad either.
Throughout MyRISE, players can unlock a variety of rewards, including indie-era CM Punk, “Burnt” Fiend, original MyRISE characters, and iconic gear from previous WWE 2K titles. By stacking wins and completing key story arcs, players can expand their roster and leave a lasting mark in WWE 2K26.
Presented through cinematic storytelling, in-game cutscenes, and Paul Heyman’s valuable guidance, MyRISE delivers a deeply personal comeback story where every decision matters.
But wait! We have more MYRISE news to share! We know when the story will branch off...
As Paul Heyman explains in the video, your created Superstar returns to WWE after two years to reclaim their place at the top of the card. However, that comeback doesn’t start smoothly.
Early on, you suffer a major setback against Paul Heyman’s reigning champion, Bron Breakker or Jordynne Grace, from either the Men’s or Women’s Division, forcing you to reassess your approach. From there, the story branches, allowing players to decide how their Superstar climbs back up the ladder.

I know what I'll be doing, but they did explain the two approaches a lot better. You'll be able to take the traditional path and earn your way to the top using the "right" methods, or you can cut corners for a faster return. Your choices will influence how the story progresses.
Men's Division has a star-studded roster of Superstars that you'll face off against, which includes:
- Jey Uso
- Jacob Fatu
- Ethan Page
- The New Day
- The Wyatt Sicks
Your ultimate goal is earning another shot at The Oracle’s WWE Champion, Bron Breakker, who stands as the final obstacle between you and the top prize.
Each rivalry and match builds toward that rematch, with branching dialogue and outcomes shaping how you reach it.
The Women's Division isn't looking too bad either! You'll face off against:
- Naomi
- Roxanne Perez
- Kelani Jordan
- Nia Jax
- Liv Morgan
- The Wyatt Sicks
The Comeback journey leads toward another showdown with Paul Heyman and WWE Women’s Champion Jordynne Grace, with branching story choices that determine whether you earn your opportunity or take it by force.
What's new in MYRISE this year?

This year expands on WWE 2K25’s Live Event Match system with a new structure called RISE Matches. Rather than functioning as bonus content, RISE Matches are now fully integrated into the main progression path.
I am super interested in seeing what the rewards are. I also love the tracked performance. Participating in press conferences has become one of my favorite things to do in any sports game, and I bet that this won't be any different.
Completing RISE Matches will advance The Archetype’s career and provide rewards, with performance tracked through match star ratings.
Throughout The Comeback, players will also participate in WWE press conferences. These put the Archetype on the hot seat while giving users the chance to comment on their biggest matches and rivalries via player choice.
We are also told that we will have one more major choice to make before everything ends.
Additionally, The Comeback doesn’t end after winning the title. One major final decision will set the course for The Archetype’s title reign. Defend the championship, or if you lose, continue to compete in RISE matches to attempt to regain the title.
Here is a look at some of the rewards:
Players will continue to be able to unlock content as progress is made throughout The Comeback and by completing RISE matches. This year’s Men’s and Women’s Division storylines feature distinct rewards, so we definitely recommend playing through both!
Reward types include:
- Arenas
- Championships
- CAS Parts
- Playable characters
- Weapons
- Paybacks
- MyFACTION content

Island
But we are not done here! The news just keeps coming, especially because we are nearing early access for WWE 2K26 Attitude Era or the Monday Night War Edition.
We got some news on The Island, which I am kind of excited to play firsthand.
Last year, players stepped onto The Island and challenged Roman Reigns for control of the Island of Relevancy. With Roman Reigns gone, so too has the balance of power. Three factions now compete to shape the future of The Island, each with its own philosophy, leadership, and vision.
In this Ringside Report, we’re breaking down what’s new this year on The Island, including story updates, the different factions, progression systems, and a ton of new features.
I can already tell you all that I will be going with Order of Shadows. Rhea Ripley is currently one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, and I can't wait to see her in this gamemode.

As mentioned, three factions have emerged, and players must now align themselves with one of these Orders and help lead them to control. Each Order brings a distinct identity and leadership to The Island. Get a rundown of them below:
- Order of Tradition: Forged in the squared circle, The Order of Tradition is a collection of true believers in the heritage and history of the business. Some operate honorably, while some may use more underhanded tricks to achieve their ends - though both methods are tried and tested. The common denominator? All have a vested interest in carrying the old ways forward and seeing them instilled in the next generation, from attention to in-ring skill and technical ability, to a love of spectacle and over-the-top showmanship. Led by Cody Rhodes, they’re fighting to inspire those principles through dominance on The Island.
- Order of Shadows: They found a natural home in the shadow of the former Deadlands. Members of this Order find comfort in the unexplained and all that goes bump in the night. With an unofficial leader in Rhea Ripley, The Shadows has not only become a refuge for the “freaks and the weirdos” but a rallying cry for those who wish to bring that weirdness out from the shadows entirely and reshape The Island in their own image. Tangling with this Order teaches opponents to question their own senses and rethink what they believe is possible.
- Order of Anarchy: This Order is not just for those who want to redefine the rules, it’s for those who want to question the concept of rules entirely. Big, bold, and unapologetic, they see The Island not just as it is, but as what it could be. Under the right leadership, of course. Perhaps one of the most… creative Orders, Anarchy questions the status quo with not just words, but each and every action. Though the words are pretty good, too - helmed by CM Punk, they’ve got some of the boldest mic skills in the biz.
And choose wisely – while each Order member is able to play every main path story, your allegiance will inform the specific viewpoint you have on events as they unfold. Progression is more non-linear than before, allowing players to dive into story missions in the manner they choose.. Additionally, each Order also has a new enterable landmark location and a dedicated PvP arena for players to explore.
Next, we got to learn more about The Scrapyard. What makes this intresting in my opinion is the verticality offered. You can even see it in the shot below. What is kind of funny is that some believe that there is a hidden power here.

At the center of much of The Island dispute and at the very center of The Island itself, sits The Scrapyard. When the arena where Roman Reigns was defeated was demolished following… certain events… those on The Island abandoned it and used it as a space to discard their trash as they moved in and started remaking The Island to fit their needs. But as the legend of that defeat grew, and rumors spread… so did the whispers about what transpired and what had perhaps been left behind on those grounds.
Now? Each Order fights for control of not only The Island, but The Scrapyard, and for what it may hold. Some are true believers in a hidden power, while others are only believers in the power of emerging victorious over an enemy. Whatever you believe, The Scrapyard is a combat zone like no other, to test yourself head-to-head against the best The Island has to offer, and show up and show out for your Order.
In 2K26, the Scrapyard also features increased verticality that allows players to climb scaffolding, fight across elevated platforms, knock opponents off structures, and perform attacks from higher vantage points. All of this introduces new ways to play on The Island!
To bring this all to life, we got a little information about our Superstar and how they will progress.

In WWE 2K26, we’ve included additional customization options for your MySUPERSTAR. With the inclusion of the Photo Face feature, players can further customize their MySUPERSTAR just the way they want. World Taunts are also a new inclusion. Want to DX Chop someone on The Island? Now players can express themselves the way they want via emotes, which can also be earned through progression on The Island.
A new addition to The Island is the Prestige System, which introduces four progression tiers.
Recruit (OVR 70–85)
Disruptor (OVR 75–90)
Blueprint (OVR 80–95)
Legendary (OVR 85–100)
Each Prestige Level has attribute caps. Upon reaching the cap, players unlock a Prestige Quest to advance to the next tier. Players can reach higher OVR Levels to gain access to more power, badges, and rewards.
We also got a little information about something that I am interested in, which is the Towers. These are for PVE, and we are told that they will be infinitely replayable, which is awesome.

Towers introduce a repeatable PvE experience that players can participate in endlessly to earn rewards and increase their reputation in each Order.
Players can choose their Tower run size (small, medium, large), which determines the total number of stages a Tower run contains. Every time the player starts a new tower run, their stage is randomly generated. Each tower stage contains a dynamic path of different node types consisting of matches, rewards, choices and boss fights.
The main reward to earn in Towers Mode is “Order Reputation.” By earning “Order Reputation,” players can gain access to a large table of rewards specifically for that Order Tower.
Up for a challenge? Keep your eyes peeled for Mega-Challenge Tower Events. These are event Towers tied to the season’s theme and offer rare rewards for completion.
